did you use an imported animation made with 3D studio max? DON'T do anything X style yet,please, im already working on a similar project using the x series myself already.
his face doesn't look to good, but, if you ARE using 3d studio max, drawing faces can indeed be quite difficult.

well, as I said before, use more animated Gif's, and for black mage's beam, you tried to animate it by placing several other beams over it, that is not a good move, you should use a tweened shape transformation, and you should also g"et better sprites because at time it seemed like some people's parts were floating

I kinda like your idea, but you should practice your drawing a little more, I know that according to you I'm not in a position to be commenting your drawings, because I haven't submitted anything yet, but I'm still practicing, which you need to do a little more as well, thus my only comment to you is to improve your animation skills.
I'll give you a hint: like, that bug: draw every moving part of it's body seperatly and put the limbs that come into contact with each other on different layers, to prevent segmenting.

that wasn't too bad, but:
- you should use a background
- you used only one sprite for each character, you should use more: delete the current sprite after the keyframe which you insert, after the sprite's motion tween/activity is complete, and replace it with the next sprite, or you could use animated Gif's which you can either download or make them yourself, I use adobe Image-ready(comes with photoshop), and for creating blood, I wouldn't use lines, again, use animated Gif's.
And, NOT MEGAMAN, X!!!!
