Great game, but I think I found a bug.

The splitting boss, the one that fires out into a pattern of triangles which you have to destroy, and then recombines...
He stopped recombining, and there were a bunch of vague impressions of the triangles in the background, which after a while turned into soul squares.
After that, nothing happens.

Nice engine

But, let's face it, in needs content before it has any place on the portal.

Nice game, BUT!

Either the bonus blocks are bugged, or you neglected to properly explain the game mechanics behind them.
The bonusses seem to disappear when you get near.

If there's supposed to be a trick to this, it should be in the instructions.

ssbiox responds:

Zanroth, thank you for your comment. The problem is that bonus has no any color, so it won't give you a chance to capture the field with some color; in this case bonus is taken if neighboring cubes are captured.

I'm afraid this is getting repetitive.

This game is pretty nice, graphics wise, and seems pretty nicely programmed...
By all means, if it were the first, this would have been a good game.

BUT!
It's just more of the same.
Storm boat, holy war: invasion, Captain jack adventure, crusader tank, and now this one.
Same concept, and seemingly the same engine, pretty much the same game, only different graphics.

Try something new some time.

Pretty fun and addictive game.

Gameplay wise, I liked the level up part, and it seems the next version will whipe out pretty much all the flaws the game currently suffers.

If I understand correctly, the new version has been completed, and now you're waiting for it to be aproved...
So why not just upload and link to the latest version of the Local version in the meantime then?

Nice demo

Sure it works as a game in itself, with it's nice graphics and animation and all...
But wouldn't it have been better to use the full version of this game as a tool to promote one of your more original products?

Like, putting the demo here, giving the full version for free on your own website, putting adds for your other games during loading screens, and a bunch of banners for other companies so you basicaly cashed in double?

How many copies have you sold so far now?

Well...

Interesting take on reversing the roles on the asteroids game...
But something got lost in the execution of your concept...

The game pretty much feels like a generic sidescroller, except that you're running into the enemies instead of avoiding them.
The text on the intro movie went too fast to read as well.

The graphics were pretty nice though, but this game needs something more to make it stand out.

Pretty nice so far.

The water graphics seem to cause lag on my AMD sempron 3000+ equipped PC with over 1 gig of ram.
I'd recommend optimizing all your line-art to give it a smoother allround look, and generally be more processor friendly.

Also, compared to the more shaded backgrounds, the characters look rather bland.

Other than that, the flowing river background sound effect does not seem to be looping properly. I'd highly recommend fixing that issue, also, that sound effect seems to be causing additional lag, indicating that it is likely not properly optimised. I could be mistaken on this one.

I will refraim from commenting on your current storyline, as (I hope) we haven't really seen much of anything yet.

This definitely does not qualify as a game demo due to being far too short.
The fact that not even all the features shown in the instructions section can be used, is indicative of this.
"Game engine demo" seems like a better term for this submission.

Work out these flaws and you'll have frontpage material.

kennsj responds:

Yeah, that river certainly is problematic. I will be giving it some serious attention.

The storyline is huge, so you've hardly seen anything yet. I will be tweaking the opening a little to try and develop the story better.

Hopefully this'll be worthy of front page by the time it's completed. There are 22 levels planned and scripted, so that might be a while.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback.

My record time is around 64 seconds left.

This game (demo) is absolutely perfect.
I cannot find anything negative to say about it.

Why the hell does this have a score below 4, or at the very least 3,5?

I await the (full) game.

bob700 responds:

Don't ask me! Ask the players. But, thanks for the review!

Nice gameplay...

The game itself was pretty nice for something this rushed...
Crocbombs, Hehehe...

I'm having mixed reactions to this...
On one hand, I kinda smiled at this for a moment... Yet I found myself frowning at the same time. That felt awkward...

Nice idea, but I figure most people won't take it well...

I am me, nothing more, nothing less. I am the culmination of my thoughts, my actions and your perceptions.
